accommodations

We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn Calgary MacLeod Trail South. This hotel is close to our house, close to downtown, and generally close to everything. (Except maybe the airport...)

The rate they have secured for us is $119 per night, and includes either a single king or two queens beds for occupancy of up to 4 people. The hotel has a pool, 24 hour fitness room, wi-fi interenet, and most other amenities you may need.

To book a room, please call 1-866-554-0162 and reference the 'Duchin/Thorburn Wedding' or code DTW. These rooms will be available on a first come first serve basis and must be booked prior to September 5th, 2012.

For more information about the hotel, you can visit their website HERE.

Now - we are all about finding a good bargain and we by no means think the above deal is best deal out there. We would highly suggest checking out other hotels in the area and calling (without mention of a wedding) for rates.

A few hotels in the neighbourhood-
Comfort Inn Calgary South
Days Inn Calgary South
Howard Johnson Calgary South
Carriage House Inn
Delta Calgary South (this hotel is the furthest away from downtown and the wedding venues)

And, if you are brave enough to venture out on a hotel hunt of your own, here are a few websites that usually have great deals and cheap rates.
Expedia
Travelocity

Keep in mind a few locations and addresses while searching-
Jeff and Jess live in the SW of Calgary - pretty close to downtown and Chinook mall. If hotels mention being near either of these things, you are in a great spot!

The reception is in the NW of Calgary - right near the Trans Canada hi-way (16th Ave), SAIT and ACAD (schools). It is also pretty close to downtown, so again, if the hotel mentions being near any of these, you are again in a good spot.

And of course, please dont hesitate to call or email us if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to double check that the hotel you are looking at isn't in a sketchy part of town.
